Samsung Galaxy S II

So, you’ve been holding off from upgrading your flagging device to wait for the blazing fast Samsung Galaxy S II. You thought you wouldn’t have to wait long, but then the release was pushed back to Q3, even though the whole of Europe has been enjoying it since May. No matter you thought, I can wait a few more months, well if you’re a Verizon customer you’re going to be pretty disappointed right about now.

Verizon confirmed to The Wall Street Journal today that it will not be offering the device. When questioned about the decision Brenda Raney, executive director for corporate communications at Verizon commented on their “robust portfolio” giving customers plenty of choice including the Samsung Droid Charge that runs on their 4G LTE network .

For those of you who happen to be on AT&T, T-mobile or Sprint, you shouldn’t have to wait long to get your hands on the SGS II. Samsung is holding an event on Monday to announce all the details of its release. In the meantime let us know your thoughts on Verizon not offering the device, will it cause you to switch carriers?
